Robert Falcon Scott was born in 1868 and began his naval career as a cadet at the age of 13. He was appointed the leader of the 1901-04 British National Antarctic Expedition sailing on the Discovery for a two year stay in the South Polar Regions.
The picture of Scott on the label of the port bottle is a commemorative Chocolate Card issued by Fry’s chocolate in 1913.
